Greetings from OC. First order of business: How can I get a digital copy of your Taste and See album... I see several requests!
My Rob Mehl Story: I'm workin at a bible bookstore in Fountain Valley, a year or so out from a great winter camp at Forrest Home with lots of Rob's music. Got Taste and See BLARING in the unoccupied store and look up to see that Rob had snuck in and was playin air guitar to his own music while checkin the music racks...
Long time ago!
I've a friend I'd really like to share that music with ... pleeeeease, please tell me you've digitally remastered such a great album and can put it in my hands!

Hi Rob,
I actually did the art for your album "Taste and See" way back when, I think I was 19 or 20, been so long.
Still doing art still walking with Christ. Used to hang with Mike Aguilar back then and he was a big influence in my doing art for a living......
Great to see you're still playing!
I also lived in Leucadia for a few years, wonder if I missed you playing down there....

Rob, I saw you perform with Joe Rathburn and others at the Songs for Peace night at Milano Coffee, a few months back. I have already given away the copy of "Keep The Music Alive: which I bought from you that night. So, I need a new copy for myself. Better make that 2 copies. As I'll probably share your music again with someone else soon enough. Can you sign it? "From Me to You to You." I am not comfortable giving my credit catd over the internet. How can I get the CD's otherwise? Please advise. Thanks, Joe

Rob, I miss the SoCal weather, (especially this past week - cold & rainy in Lafayette, IN!) and I miss your Sunday-morning strummin' & singin'. Somehow, flip-flops, Hawaiian shirts and coral-blue guitars haven't made it to the Mid-West (YET!!!) Whenever I feel burdened, I remember I just need to "Travel Light". Thanks for the reminder. And, I'm sorry I'll miss you in St. Pete this weekend, but I won't be there until next month. Take care & God Bless! Steve Riedel

Rob,
I ran into Jim Hoehn at a Parrot Head event in Mannasas, Virginia. He said I should contact you about surfing. I've written a book about surfing in the 60s and 70s. Your song "Slow Down Summer" is a perfect song about that time. I'd like to include the verses in my book "Surfing Adventures of the 60s, 70s and Beyond". Let me know if it is ok to put it in my book. I also get out to California (I was just out there 2 weeks ago but was very busy) occassionally and would like to get together with you. I also write songs and play sometimes at Cheeseburger In Paradise in Pasadena, MD. Yea, Jim got me up to do a song on Sunday at the Virginia event in January, The Midwinter Meltdown, it was fun.
Hope to hear from you. Thanks, Andy.

Hey Rob, I'm just an old tired rat race guy from New York. I can't tell you how much your music gets me through the day. I first purchased three songs on I-tunes and that I really liked , then three more and than I said screw this and down loaded them all. Didn't you know that your supposed to have a few stupid songs. For some reason you don't have any. I want to listen to all the songs. A big fan keep up the good work. Thanks Frank

Greetings:
How can I get a hard-to-find Yamaha FGB1? It's a Folk Guitar Bamboo 1. It's an acoustic folk-type guitar made by Yamaha in 2000, maybe "before it's time". I called them today. They suggested your website. I want to know two things:
1. How do I purchase the best quality (made of bamboo) guitar I can?
2. Is it possible to help me ask Yamaha to consider making this specific product line again? It is 2007 and bamboo is a permacultural answer to the "green and sustainable" market, which certainly did not exist much in 2007.

Yo Rob !
The Bremerton concert was too much fun. I loved it when after Mark finished singing "Drinking Mexico Dry", you said "Now HOW am I supposed to follow THAT with a sentimental baseball song?". Cracked us all up! ;-)
A few days later, I called Zanna over to the TV. I said, "Remember when Rob sang that baseball song Saturday night in Bremerton and the guys stood up and cheered? Well, that song was about that guy right there on TV... Willie Mays... The 'Say Hey Kid'!"
Barry had just set the record and he'd requested that Willie be the one to interview him on the field if it happened. I got flashbacks of you singing that great song. How did you know that Willie would be on every TV set in the nation a few days later?
Love it!... Me... and Willie Mays!

Hi Rob,
I am (or was) the 18 year old kid who helped you, Jerry Barnard and Willie Roberson when you came to Vancouver, BC Canada in 1977 as Harvest and played at a few churches. I met you guys at Granville Chapel and helped you with your gear at a couple of gigs. We had dinner together one night at Denny's. When it was time to leave town you guys gave me a copy of Harvest's eponymous album which you all signed.
I've been aware that you were in Hawaii for a long time now, and have thought of you often over the years. Just found your website and wanted to say hi. May you and your family be blessed always.

We are very forunate to have friends like the Wangs to be members of our club. Because of them, we were lucky enough to have you come down and be a part of our welcoming party for all of the Parrot Heads coming down to the Meeting of the Minds. Thank you for who you are and what you have given us in the entertainment field. We are greatful to have you as a friend of the Pirates on the Water.(PHUK) Parrot Heads Upper Keys. We would love to have you back once again, if your schedule permits. Capt.VideoDave

Hi Rob,
You guys were rockin at that Fundraiser on Saturday night. So great of you, Gary, Ed, and Gerry to donate your time for the kids. I'll try to get a DVD burned from the video that I took that night. Zanna can bring it along to Phins to the West.
You guys were having way too much fun during those jam sessions! It was infectious.
Take care.
Aloha,
Tom

Hey Rob!
I can't believe it has been 6 months since Key West, the wedding and MOTM. We are excited to be going to PHINS to the West for the first time and happy that you will be playing there! See you in a few days!
