Rob,
I ran into Jim Hoehn at a Parrot Head event in Mannasas, Virginia. He said I should contact you about surfing. I've written a book about surfing in the 60s and 70s. Your song "Slow Down Summer" is a perfect song about that time. I'd like to include the verses in my book "Surfing Adventures of the 60s, 70s and Beyond". Let me know if it is ok to put it in my book. I also get out to California (I was just out there 2 weeks ago but was very busy) occassionally and would like to get together with you. I also write songs and play sometimes at Cheeseburger In Paradise in Pasadena, MD. Yea, Jim got me up to do a song on Sunday at the Virginia event in January, The Midwinter Meltdown, it was fun.
Hope to hear from you. Thanks, Andy.

Hi Rob,
Winter's chill setting in up here in Santa Barbara. I close my eyes and imagine last week there at Island Fest... sitting under the palapa near the Soggy Peso bar out on the beach... warm breeze off the gulf, and your wonderful music around the poolside. I do believe I'm feeling warmer!

November 2, 2007

Hey Rob, I'm just an old tired rat race guy from New York. I can't tell you how much your music gets me through the day. I first purchased three songs on I-tunes and that I really liked , then three more and than I said screw this and down loaded them all. Didn't you know that your supposed to have a few stupid songs. For some reason you don't have any. I want to listen to all the songs. A big fan keep up the good work. Thanks Frank

Greetings:
How can I get a hard-to-find Yamaha FGB1? It's a Folk Guitar Bamboo 1. It's an acoustic folk-type guitar made by Yamaha in 2000, maybe "before it's time". I called them today. They suggested your website. I want to know two things:
1. How do I purchase the best quality (made of bamboo) guitar I can?
2. Is it possible to help me ask Yamaha to consider making this specific product line again? It is 2007 and bamboo is a permacultural answer to the "green and sustainable" market, which certainly did not exist much in 2007.

Yo Rob !

The Bremerton concert was too much fun. I loved it when after Mark finished singing "Drinking Mexico Dry", you said "Now HOW am I supposed to follow THAT with a sentimental baseball song?". Cracked us all up! ;-)

A few days later, I called Zanna over to the TV. I said, "Remember when Rob sang that baseball song Saturday night in Bremerton and the guys stood up and cheered? Well, that song was about that guy right there on TV... Willie Mays... The 'Say Hey Kid'!"

Barry had just set the record and he'd requested that Willie be the one to interview him on the field if it happened. I got flashbacks of you singing that great song. How did you know that Willie would be on every TV set in the nation a few days later?

Love it!... Me... and Willie Mays!

I stumbled across your site. Great photos and interesting stuff.

I'm stoked that you had a good time in Palau and hope to see you down here again. In the islands its never "goodbye" its always "we'll see later."

Surfed last week with my friend Bill on the West Side. Small but fun waves. Season's almost here.

Rob, I had promised you a CD of Palau surfing pictures. Could you let me know where to send it. There are tons of surf pictures on it so let me know your mailing address.

Oh yeah, if this e-mail address doesn't work, please try semdiu@hotmail.com

Hi Rob,

I am (or was) the 18 year old kid who helped you, Jerry Barnard and Willie Roberson when you came to Vancouver, BC Canada in 1977 as Harvest and played at a few churches. I met you guys at Granville Chapel and helped you with your gear at a couple of gigs. We had dinner together one night at Denny's. When it was time to leave town you guys gave me a copy of Harvest's eponymous album which you all signed.

I've been aware that you were in Hawaii for a long time now, and have thought of you often over the years. Just found your website and wanted to say hi. May you and your family be blessed always.

If you can, e-mail it to me, and I'll try to get it on Monday night's show.
Keep me posted on any new releases. Love your music!!

Well, when it's not 23 below zero :-)Hear there is a pic of you and I on the MOTM cd. Haven't seen it yet. Thanks for the great time and music at the LightHouse. Look forward to the next time I can sit back, relax and listen to your beautiful voice and music. Tracy
